The Original Diploma Certificate is an official document issued by the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka, to students who have successfully passed their diploma examinations. This certificate is required for further studies, applying for jobs, or verifying educational qualifications during document verification processes.

Documents Required

Students applying for the Original Diploma Certificate through the Seva Sindhu portal must have the following documents in scanned copies:

• Passport-Sized Photograph of the Student (In JPG format)
• SSLC / 10th Original Marks Card (Scanned copy in PDF format)
• Diploma Marks Card of All Semesters or Years (Including all attempts, both passed and failed, scanned as a single PDF file)

How To Apply For Karnataka Original Diploma Certificate?

To apply for the Karnataka Original Diploma Certificate, students must use the Seva Sindhu Services portal. This is the only method for application, and no separate process exists. Follow the steps below to complete the application process:

Step 1: Visit the official Seva Sindhu Services portal at https://sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in. Log in using your phone number and password or OTP. Step 2: Once logged in, go to the “Apply for Services” section and select the “View All Available Services” option.

In the search bar, type “Original Diploma Certificate” and click on the displayed application link titled Application for Original Diploma Certificate, with the Department name as Directorate of Technical Education, as shown in the image below.

Step 3: The online application form for the Original Diploma Certificate will now appear. Your name will be displayed as per your Aadhaar (If the name displayed is incorrect, kindly make corrections to your Aadhaar card first before applying for the Diploma Certificate).

Upload a scanned passport size photograph, which will be printed on your certificate. Select the diploma scheme (semester or annual) and enter your register number. The college code, name, and address will be displayed automatically. Then, enter your mobile number and email ID.

Step 4: Under the Particulars of Examination section, provide details of all examinations you attempted, including any failed attempts.

Select the semester or year from the dropdown menu, and for each attempt, enter the corresponding month, year of examination, and result (pass or fail).

Repeat this process for all semesters or years.

Step 5: Enter the date of result announcement for the final examination you took. Fill out the captcha code, then click the Submit button to complete the application.

How to Track the Status or Download the Original Diploma Certificate?

Once the online application for the Original Diploma Certificate is submitted, it will undergo verification at your Diploma polytechnic college and the Department of Technical Education (DTE). Here’s how you can track the status or download the certificate by following these steps:

Step 1: Log in to the Seva Sindhu Sevices portal and select the “Track Application Status” option under the View Status of Application menu.

Step 2: Enter your Original Diploma Certificate application reference or acknowledgment number, which starts with “TE” (e.g., TE00XXXXXXX). Click Get Data to proceed.

Step 3: Under Current Status, the status will be displayed as “Delivered“. Click on it.

• You will see the status of your application, including the task name and the corresponding status.
• If the final task, “Dispatch Diploma Certificate by Caseworker After Director Approval“, is marked as completed or delivered, as shown in the image below, an option to view the certificate will appear under the “Issued Documents” table row.

Step 4: Click on the View link, and then click on Download Certificate button to download your Original Diploma Certificate in PDF format.
