The students can apply for the BMTC Student Pass either online by themselves or offline. The process for both methods is given below.
Online Process

Once logged in, navigate to the “Apply for Services” section. Select “View All Available Services” and search for “BMTC STUDENT PASS 2025-26” in the search bar. Click on the displayed application link to proceed, or you can also click the button below to directly access the application form.
Step 2: Next, confirm your citizenship status by selecting “INDIAN CITIZENSHIP”. Enter your Aadhaar number and authenticate it by clicking the Aadhaar authentication button.
You will receive an OTP on your UIDAI Aadhaar registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to validate your Aadhaar details.
Step 3: Afterward, proceed to the applicant details section. Re-authenticate your Aadhaar to fetch the necessary information and manually input additional details such as caste, mother’s name, mobile number, and email address. Ensure accuracy as these details are crucial for processing your application.
Step 4: In the communication address section, specify whether your current address is the same as your permanent address. If it is, select “Yes” If not, choose “No” and manually enter the current address details.
Step 5: Select your course category from the dropdown menu provided. This ensures the system accurately categorizes your application based on your educational level.
Step 6: When filling in institution details, provide your register number, name, and select your school or college from the list.
High school and primary school students must enter their SATS ID to automatically retrieve school related details. Students with a UUCMS number should select Is UUCMS Available as Yes and enter the UUCMS number in place of the register number.
Step 7: Next, enter your travel route information by selecting “FROM STOP” and “TO STOP” from the dropdown options.
The “FROM STOP” should be your residence or hostel near a BMTC bus stop, while the “TO STOP” should be your educational institution located near a BMTC bus stop.
Step 8: Once all the necessary details are filled in, read and tick the declaration checkbox, complete the captcha, and submit your application.

Offline Process

After submitting the online application for the BMTC student pass, you can check the status of your application by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to the official Seva Sindhu portal at https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/ and, on the homepage, click on Track Your Application Status.
Step 2: Next, click on Track Your Application Status again, located under the Check Your Application Status for Students Bus Pass section as shown in the below image.
Step 3: Select the track application “Through Application Reference Number” option and enter your BMTC student pass application acknowledgment number, which was generated in the Seva Sindhu Services portal.

How to Collect Your BMTC Student Pass?
Once your application is approved, BMTC will send an SMS to your registered mobile number. If approved, follow these steps:
- Visit the nearest Bangalore One Center (B1 Counter).
- Pay the required fee.
- Collect your BMTC Student Pass smart card.
Please note that the student must visit the Bangalore One center in person to collect the bus pass, as a live photograph will be captured and printed on the smart card. Any other person collecting the pass on behalf of the student is not permitted.
