Yuva Nidhi Scheme 2025: Apply Online Through Seva Sindhu Portal

The Yuva Nidhi Scheme is a welfare initiative for the youth of Karnataka, announced by the state government during the 2023 elections. It is one of the five guarantee schemes promised by the Karnataka government. Objective of the Scheme

The objective of the Yuva Nidhi Scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance along with necessary skill training for up to two years after completing a diploma or degree if individuals do not secure employment. This enables them to focus on preparing for competitive exams, pursuing their desired job, or starting their own business without worrying about personal monthly expenses.

  • Students who have already registered for the Yuva Nidhi Scheme are required to provide a Monthly Unemployment Self-Declaration to receive the amount. For more information, visit here.
  • Under Yuva Nidhi 2.0, along with the monthly unemployment allowance, the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood is providing free skill training for scheme beneficiaries under the Kaushalkar project to help them secure a job or become self-employed.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Yuva Nidhi Scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • Must have completed a minimum of 6 years of education in Karnataka.
  • Must have completed a diploma or degree (UG/PG) in or after the academic year 2022-23.
  • Must be unemployed for at least six months after graduation.
  • Should not be self-employed or engaged in any business, with or without loans.

Ineligibility Criteria

The following individuals are not eligible:

  • Those who are availing ESI, PF, or NPS benefits.
  • Individuals pursuing higher education after completing a diploma or degree.
  • Individuals receiving benefits from any other central or state government schemes for self-employment.
  • Individuals receiving stipend from apprenticeships.
  • Individuals who are already employed in the government or private sector, whether full-time or part-time.

Process to Check Academic Details in NAD Portal

Before proceeding to apply for the Yuva Nidhi scheme, students are required to check whether their academic details are available in the Karnataka NAD portal, as you cannot submit an application without this information.

  • Step 1: Go to the Karnataka NAD portal at https://nad.karnataka.gov.in/ and click on ‘Yuva Nidhi Eligibility Check’ on the homepage.
  • Step 2: The chatbot will ask, “Have you graduated in 2023 / 2024?” Select Yes or No.
  • Step 3: Select your qualification from the given options (Diploma or Degree).
  • Step 4: Select your university name, enter your registration number, select the year of passing (for Diploma or Degree), type your name as per Aadhaar, and click the Send button.

The chatbot will search the NAD records and inform you whether your academic details are available or not. Based on the response you receive, follow these steps:

  • Congratulations! Your degree/diploma certificate is available on the National Academic Depository (NAD): If you receive this reply, you can proceed with your application for the Yuva Nidhi scheme.
  • Sorry, your degree/diploma certificate is not available on the National Academic Depository (NAD): If you receive this reply, you need to wait until your university or board updates your academic details on the NAD portal. Alternatively, contact your university or board and request them to update your academic details to the NAD portal.

How to Apply for the Yuva Nidhi Scheme 2025 Through the Seva Sindhu Portal?

Please follow the step-by-step process mentioned below to apply for the Yuva Nidhi scheme through the Seva Sindhu portal.

Step 1: Go to the official Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes website at sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in and click on ‘Yuva Nidhi‘. You will be redirected to the ‘Application for Yuvanidhi scheme‘ or you can also click the direct link provided below.

Now, log in using your Seva Sindhu account credentials. (Please note that you must have a Seva Sindhu account to apply for the Yuva Nidhi scheme.)

Step 2: Once logged in, read and accept the self declaration consent by selecting the ‘Yes/ಹೌದು’ option to proceed.

Step 3: Now, click the Aadhaar Authentication button. A new DBT portal window will open. Enter your Aadhaar number, accept the Aadhaar consent, select the OTP option, and click the ‘Send OTP‘ button.

You will receive an OTP from UIDAI on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click ‘Submit‘.

Step 4: You will be automatically returned to the application form. If you are not redirected to the application form after completing the authentication, click the ‘Click Here to Return‘ button.

Next, click the ‘Get Aadhaar Details‘ button to fetch and pre-fill your Aadhaar details, such as your name, date of birth, gender, photo, and permanent address.

Note: If the name in Aadhaar and your diploma or degree certificate is not the same, select ‘Applicant name as per Certificate and Aadhaar card name is same‘ as ‘No‘ and manually enter your name as per the certificate. However, if you select ‘No’, the approval process of your application may take longer than usual. Therefore, we recommend you update your name in Aadhaar first, if there is a difference between the name in Aadhaar and the certificate, before applying for the scheme.

Step 5: If your permanent address and current address are the same, select the ‘Yes/ಹೌದು‘ option. If they are different, select the ‘No/ಇಲ್ಲ‘ option and manually enter your current address, including the pincode.

Step 6: Now, fill out your education details by selecting the course you completed (diploma or degree), and then enter other details such as the university and college name, registration number, etc.

Step 7: Select any one option for domicile verification (Degree / Diploma / CET Number / Ration Card / Caste or Income or Residence Certificate number) and enter the document number corresponding to the option you selected.

Step 8: Enter your mobile number and email ID, and verify them with the OTP sent by Seva Sindhu. (Please provide the correct active mobile number, as you may receive phone calls from the Yuva Nidhi department from time to time to keep you informed about skill training opportunities)

Step 9: Select your caste category. If you have any physical disabilities, select ‘Yes/ಹೌದು‘ and enter your UDID (Unique Disability ID) number. Otherwise, select ‘No/ಇಲ್ಲ‘.
